Izzi is a 16 year old homeschooled senior.  She is driven, athletic, and enjoys both family time and time with her dog, Samson. Izzi is an avid winter sports fan, but she still spends time on the beach when her family is able to sneak away for a vacation.

Family Time

Izzi’s older brother and mom joined in for a few pictures, as did Samson, who was remarkably well trained and easy to work with. While the family lives in Utah, they own a beach house in Santa Rosa beach that they spend vacations in.  We were able to do the first part of Izzi’s senior session outside their beautiful home and then walked across the street to photograph more on the beach. The easy beach access gave us the ability to do a few different outfits, which was extra fun for Izzi and for me!

Senior Portraits

Senior portraits are quickly becoming very popular!  This is such a transitional time for most high schoolers, and I’ve found that it’s incredibly important to document the transition from youth to adulthood. Whether it’s the journey to college, the next step in life, or just the start of an empty nest lifestyle for their parents. These pictures allow the whole family to have something to hold onto from that time in their lives.

Santa Rosa Beach | 30A

Santa Rosa Beach was a lovely choice because of its proximity to Izzi’s house, but it’s a great beach to shoot on for many reasons. As you can see from these photos, the sand is a beautiful powdery white, and the sunsets from Santa Rosa Beach and 30A can be absolutely incredible. Their home occupied a unique space between the bayou, Point Washington State Forest, and gorgeous Seaside Beach.  No matter what kind of pictures you want you’re certain to be pleased with the results. Izzi’s senior portraits were a joy to shoot, and I hope she and her family treasure them for years to come.
