The Franks family recently vacationed at a beach house in Santa Rosa Beach, so we did a fun family shoot at nearby Grayton Beach State Park…one of my favorite places to shoot. You can see the beautiful terrain at Grayton Beach in these shots. The dunes, sea oats and clear skies make for a gorgeous backdrop. Kim and Travis did a wonderful job of coordinating their outfits. The kids were in light colors, Travis was in blue, and Kim was in a beautiful pale pink skirt. They’re clearly a photogenic family anyway, but I thought they did a wonderful job of making sure everything looked sharp!

As always, I like to make sure we get pictures with several different family variations. In this instance, I grabbed a few photos just of Kim and Travis; some just of Riley and Addison; and one or two of each parent with each child. While the whole family is an important unit to capture. I think it’s important to capture these individual interactions as well.

Riley and Addison were great kids, quick to show affection and equally quick to crack jokes. The family had a light-hearted attitude that made working with them especially easy. It’s always so much easier to get great photos when the family is relaxed. I had a great time getting to know them further at their in-person viewing appointment the following day. As I got stuck in their beach house for a while during a downpour!
