Nikki and Bobby’s wedding took place at the beautiful Boone Terre beach house in Seacrest Beach over Labor Day Weekend. Tropical Storm Lee was approaching fast so they made the call to move the wedding ceremony up from 5pm to 2pm because of the weather forecast. Nikki and Bobby took a deep breath, relaxed and enjoyed their time with friends and family. There is not much you can do about Mother Nature. Thankfully the wedding took place on Seacrest Beach amongst the rain and the heavy winds. The sky was beautiful for pictures and wind during the ceremony was seriously crazy. They had approximately 100 guests who had traveled from all over the country and a tropical storm wasn’t scaring anyone away.
Nikki & Bobby released several doves during the ceremony to celebrate their marriage and in remembrance of Nikki’s grandfather. They did a sand dollar toss at the water’s edge into the ocean where everyone made a wish. The strong winds were actually blowing the sand dollar’s right back at the guests when they tried to throw them. Nikki and her dad danced to the sweetest high energy song…Sheena and I tried our best to keep up with them on the balcony.
Towards the end of the reception the wedding party and several guests went back out onto the beach to watch the enormous waves and enjoy the beautiful beach. This is where the wedding party and guests started having a really good time and getting pushed in or jumping into the ocean. As you can see in the pictures and slideshow below…this wedding was full or fun, laughter, excitement and unexpected events…all in all I think everyone had a great time! Thank you to Sheena Ratliff for all her help!
