I had been thinking for ages about doing a shoot in a sunflower field and this past October we made it happen 🙂
Taylor (our youngest) and Remi have grown up together literally from preschool and we spend a good amount of time together at sports activities and functions. Â
I shared this idea with Remi’s mom (also Tiffany) as I was brainstorming some possibilities, and after some discussion, we decided let’s test out this location. There’s a little place called Nixon Farms in Baker FL., about an hour from where Tiffany and I live, that offers seasonal tours, pumpkin patches, and things of that nature. Upon further investigation, we discovered that Nixon Farms also has an absolutely gorgeous sunflower field that they offer up as a space for photography. When Tiffany and I took our girls out to see it in person, we weren’t at all disappointed.
Tiffany picked out two adorable outfits for Remi. She was smart to use some darker tones on the blouses she picked, but then highlight the beautiful yellows around her with the use of a cute mustard skirt on one of the outfits. I was so pleased with the way the sunflowers seemed to be hugging the girls as they walked through them. Although the sunflower season isn’t as long as I wish it was, I was pleased with how this session turned out, and would love to do more sunflower shoots when they bloom again this year!
